Update on Finnegan (AKA Tater Bug). He’s settling in quite nicely. He’s such a friendly, affectionate guy. He’s eating and drinking, using the litter box and is our new 5’am alarm clock. We absolutely love this little guy. Thank you for the check up. We’d like to applaud you, because you knew Tater Bug so well we were able to confident in our match. And, thanks to your instruction on introducing him to our cat Fíona, the transition has been smooth, with a few seats and hisses, but much easier than we expected. He’s perfect, we just love him and our cat Fíona is warming up too.
Thank you so much. Of course I have tons of photos to share of this little man!!! One thing we’ve learned is how talkative he is. 2nd thing we’ve realized he’s an early riser…and he wants everyone up with him ?. We have huge windows looking out into our back yard and he Loves sitting where he can see all the trees, squirrels and humming birds. We have a stray, Philip, who’s made himself at home in our back yard and he’s become Finn’s back yard buddy. Of course Finn and Fíona are inside cats, but having those windows and the security door to the backyard keep them well entertained.
Exactly how long was he at the shelter? He’s just such a sweet guy, we find a lengthy stay for him hard to believe and we feel lucky to have found him.

I am not sure who receives these, but the lady who we met with yesterday said that you folks like to get updates. Fella was pretty vocal about his dislike of the airline flight, but he was a champ with the TSA folks at the airport. Once we got home, I think that he figured out that this was his “home” now and became a purr machine and cuddle monster. He is now having a nap downstairs with my son.

Hi Karla - We just love the kittens. They love to play with each other, on their play gym, with their toys, balls, spinning balls game, run around, being held. cuddling, snuggling, purring, and just chilling out. We named them Tank (formerly known as Hercules) and Toby (formerly known as Ace). They feel like they were meant for our family and we love their personalities. Toby being the feisty one and Tank being a little more relaxed. Here are some photos. Hopefully they all go through.
We just love them!

Hi Guys,
Adopting Spot, now it's Bella (Isabella), was a wonderful decision! We are amazed at how quickly she adjusted to our home and especially our dog, Charlie, it was love at first sight. She used the litter box promptly and has a great appetite. She snuggles often and we just love her!
Thank you for all you did to get her ready for her furever home.
Bless you all for the work you do.

Hi!
Thanks for following up. We renamed Ash officially Lt. Dan. He's doing great! It took some time for our other cats to come around but they are brothers now. We just love him, he's such a little character. He loves our stairs and runs up and down them all the time.

Hi Tara!
We were just talking about contacting you. Spicy is completely not Spicy! She's been a complete angel. We were going to give her about a week in her own space but she felt so comfortable that she was exploring the house in a couple days. We introduced her to our older, more mellow dog pretty early on, and the 2 of them got along very well. With our younger, more excitable dog, we decided the 2 should be introduced slowly. Spicy was really great with him, cautiously sniffing but strategically ducking under hidden spots. After a week of adjusting, they got along very well. We renamed her Cardamom, which we found out is considered the queen of spices. We call her Cardi for short. She is super mellow but loves to explore and play. She is an absolute delight!
Could you please tell her foster family that they did an amazing job with her? She's better than we could have ever imagined.

Hi Tara!
Rihanna, renamed hazel is doing wonderful! She is a love bug! She's been my little sidekick and we have bonded. She is slowly adjusting to our established pets and showing our husky who's boss. She has brought so much joy into our home and we are so blessed to have her. Thank you for all of you and your teams patience. Please enjoy this photo, and if it's possible to get a copy of one taken at the adoption day, I'd be over the moon! Thank you again.

Hi Tiffanie, thank you so much for checking on her, she is really doing so well I thought she would take longer to feel safe but she has really been adapting to her bed home so well.
She is loving having all this space to herself and she already has some favorite spots that she likes to sleep in. She has officially taken over my favorite blanket ( the one Pottery Barn thing I own) she goes to town kneeding on it so now it's hers ?. She has some favorite toys and it always sneaking away with my big hair ties.
We bought her a really nice cat tree from Chewy and she doesn't even look at it, she has zero interest in it but instead she is all about lounging on our ottoman or our bed. Her appetite has grown & boy does she love her soft food . I bought the the Friskies and Fancy Feast and those are definitely favorites of hers. I had tried to do some healthier versions with more simple pure ingredients and she wasn't a fan. Grooming time is always welcomed with her and she Loves to explore and play especially at night when we are trying to sleep ?. I am trying to tag you guys when I post about her on Instagram and Facebook so you can stay updated but all I have to say is she has been a wonderful edition to our family and we are so Grateful for our little furry Princess. ❤
Thank you so much for checking in and for all you do to help all the kitties.

Houdini (formally known as Oswald), has been such a delight to have in our home. He has definitely brightened up my life! Houdini loves running around the whole house dragging his favorite toy with him, and he also enjoys his cat scratchers. Houdini uses his litter box perfectly. The first week after we adopted him, I fed him Fancy Feast kitten food since that was what he was eating before. He is now eating the Blue Buffalo kitten food (dry and wet mixed) and loves it. We have also taken Houdini to get his next shot that was due on January 25th. I want to again thank you guys for giving me this great opportunity to adopt with your amazing organization, we are so beyond happy that Houdini is a part of our family.

Hi Karla,
Lucky settled in and adjusted very quickly. His two housemates have adjusted pretty well too. Meetu, our frail, tiny, 17 yr old senior alpha cat definitely sets boundaries with him when he wants to play or annoy her by batting at her. She brooks no nonsense. And he respects that most of the time. Houdini, our 3 year old is delighted to have a playmate with whom he romps. Think herd of thundering elephants! At 3 yrs old he gets worn out and has to rest between rounds. Lucky seems to have endless energy but he eventually needs to nap too.
Yes he is eating well (think of a voracious teenager) and uses the litter box without any incidents. From the looks of things, he is going to be a big adult! We keep looking at him and think that he has doubled his weight and size already! He has a big personality too.
He does have a very sweet disposition at times. If we are outside for a couple of hours and come in, he loves to be picked up and snuggled and he purrrrrrs! At bedtime, he loves to snuggle and has to suckle on a piece of sherpa cloth placed between us (so he doesn't get us and the bed clothing all wet) while kneading and purring like a motorcycle. It takes a lot of wiggling around until he gets to his perfect position for sleep (on an arm, shoulder, neck, etc. We love these sweet times.) Occasionally he will nap with Houdini. He has tried to crawl into the cat pod with Meetu but so far, no way she's going to allow that. (We have 3 pods so there are plenty to go around.)
Name: Lucky is still Lucky. We have several nicknames for him, ranging from Lovebug and Little Guy to Rambo, Rocky, depending on his current activity. He is a fearless little guy and I think we could nickname him Startrek because he fearlessly goes, or tries to go, where no one has gone before. Sort of like a two year old hyperactive toddler. He is so fast and loves to be where his housemates or humans are. I have to be continually mindful of where he is if I am at the kitchen sink or near the refrigerator. He can be 20 feet away but then instantly he is underfoot. He has probably used up a half of his 9 lives so far! Lol!
I give Meetu, our senior, meds for her arthritis twice a day, oral syringe. I precede and follow that with a Squeeze up treat, of which she gets half. I share the remainder with Houdini and Lucky. They know when it is time for meds and they start circling like sharks, lol! While Meetu is licking her reward, Houdini will stick his nose in and when I say, "no" he will sit back and wait. Lucky will come running and reach up with his paw to pull the Squeeze up to his mouth. I make him wait - push him away and say "no" (several times) but it will take him longer to "get it."
He is still learning new words, like "down!" (off of the kitchen counter) and "no" (chewing cables, toes under blankets, ankles that happen to walk by). He also knows his name, the words "bird", "Mouse" (his favorite toy), "fish" (a toy on a fishing pole) and we know that he is capable of learning many more. He's a smart kitty. He knows more words now than Houdini did at his age and Houdini is a pretty smart guy too.
Of course we take a million photos of our fur babies and I have sent some to Tamara and Debbie (his foster mom). I'm happy to attach some more recent ones. Speaking of photos, can you email us the one that was taken at Petco when we adopted him (Jan 7th)?
Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for following up! We are so happy with our new family members. As you may know, we originally intended to only adopt Aspen, who we renamed Love-Love (Love for short). We did not know about the sibling and if they were available for adoption. Now, I cannot imagine our house without her brother, Juno - who we renamed Ace. We are a family of tennis fans so we chose their names with the theme of tennis in mind. They are doing amazing and have fully bonded with all of us, and our home - they have brought us so much happiness. Love's little quirks are that she loves walking, sitting, and playing with large pieces of paper (see photo). I think it is the crinkling noise when she walks on it that she likes. Ace, doesn't get the thrill of walking on paper. Love also prefers laying at the edge of our bed while Ace wants to be snuggled up on top by our pillows. Ace is also much more of a climber than Love ... he will climb all the way to the top of the cat tower and hang on the pole to swat at the pretend bird. Love, not so into climbing high like Ace - she is happier watching him go up. They clean each other's ears and love to purr and snuggle with each other - they are two peas in a pod! My 3-hour drive (each way!) to adopt was beyond worth it - not just for the cats, but to support such an amazing and well-organized cat shelter. Again, thanks to Lisa for her advice on my adoption pick-up day, her time, and for casually mentioning there was a brother kitten, who we adore and cannot imagine NOT having in our family.
Warmly,
Jen Avila

Hi!
Mercedes is doing great!! She has adjusted well. There's no more hissing going
on and her buddie Lexxie and her spend the day zipping around the house
with each other. She loves to cuddle and be petted, she just doesn't sit
still for long! I've been trying to get some good pictures, but I need
to be quicker! They got a new tree that they like. I've kept her name
and she gets called Sadie for short. Thanks for checking on us!! I'll
send more pictures soon.

Dear Cat House on the Kings-
My boys and I have fallen head over heels in love with Licorice! She became spoiled rotten in 1.5 seconds flat! She is acclimating really well and already acts like she owns the place. My other cat has been accepting of her, a little hesitant at first, but is warming up to her more and more each day. I caught them playing together yesterday! My dog Lucy has been accepting of her too. Lucy has been raised with kitties, so she doesn’t really care. She wants to smell Licorice, but Licorice is hesitant. Licorice is slowly getting used to Lucy.
Licorice has only been indoors and will always be an indoor kitty only. She took to the litter box with no problems at all (it’s in the laundry room) and has been eating well too. She eats side by side with my other cat and it’s too adorable.
We just love her so much and are thrilled to have her be a part of our family! Thank you Cat House on the Kings!
Forever grateful,
Brooke, Brody & Blaze Thomas
She’s all wrapped up in the blanket and both of my boys loving and kissing all over her! Yup...she’s the new princess of the house!! 😻
There’s no shortage of cuddles, love, kisses, and baby talk in our home!!

Greetings from Candy (A.K.A Cosmo),
So we have had Candy (Cosmo) for about a week now and we are amazed at house fast he adjusted to his new home. Attached are some photos with him and his new friends. The first day he was very cautious and shy and slept with me in my room. I followed the tips that was given in the packet I was given that said how to introduce him to my dog and that also worked. Within 2 days, Candy was already rubbing himself all over Bibi (our maltipoo), and Bibi does not mind his company. He was also very good with my nephews when they came to visit. We enjoy getting to know Candy. He has been eating and drinking well and is very active. We thank you for letting us meet and I am sure with the pictures provided, you can see how happy he is.

Hi Ladies,
How is everyone going back home? I hope you and all my friends are safe in all the fires.
I am doing really well! Mummy and daddy have finally let me loose in the main part of the house with my sisters and they are warming up to me. They have realised they can outrun me so I don’t seem to be much competition for them, which Mum says is a good thing but it hurts my ego to be honest 😉.
On the weekend I had my first steps on Australian grass in Mum and dads cat enclosure in the backyard. I loved it but they told me I only get short supervised visits outside as I am an inside only kitty like my siblings. They say its to keep me safe so I suppose I will trust them on that.
Anyway, it’s night time over here and as you can see from my last picture, I am completely curled up on mums lap purring my bum off waiting for her to fall asleep with me.
A big hello to all my friends at Cat House as usual.
So much love,

Lily is doing wonderful! We are in love with her already. She is so loving/ affectionate and so easy going. She was totally calm and ok with me trimming her nails. She loves her human sisters and follows me around like a dog would. She has her first wellness checkup with our local vet next week. They said she has to get a rabies vaccine in order to be seen and a patient of theirs. I called the microchip company today to update them on my information.
I bought the kitty litter and kitten food ( blue wilderness) the ladies at the shelter told me she was using. So her diet is the same. I will be slowly incorporating whole earth farms though. The first night she didn’t eat much, but did drink water. The next morning and still now she is eating well. I keep looking on FB for our adoption picture, can’t wait to see it:). I will send some pictures of her after this email.

Hey my people from Cat House,
As you can see I am settling in well! Mum and dad took me to the vets on the weekend and they confirmed there was no UTI - I am just a little stressed (which is understandable). Yesterday I got to explore more of the house and meet my two sisters - they haven’t met a disabled kitty before so they were more scared than anything 😸. They will warm up to me, I know it Every night I get a bedtime story and so far Dr Seuss’ “Oh the places you’ll go” has been my favourite! I did tell mummy and daddy that I have been to a fair few places though so I am quite happy staying here now 😜
I hope everyone over there is doing well and the heat isn’t causing too many issues. Much love to everyone back home!

Hey Karla and Lynea,
Hope you are both well! Guess who is finally home?? Hope you like the pictures below (we put a video on the Cat House fan club Facebook group). You are more than welcome to share anything on your page.
He is just chilling out next to us at the moment on his brand new double bed (with his name on it lol). He was a little stressed last night and has been doing frequent little Wes’s so if this continues we will book him into the vets tomorrow for a check up. He seems better this morning though which is good. Probably just a little anxious from all the changes!
He spent last night sleeping under the covers with Luke and still has that resilient little spirit that we fell in love with. I think he missed the memo that he has a disability and shouldn’t try and run and jump and play like a more able bodied cat ha ha.
Thank you so much again for all your help throughout the process. We will definitely keep you updated with his new life down under. Please give the seniors a massive hug for us as I am sure they miss their buddy. We will make sure Nashville always knows where he came and how thankful we all are for Cat House on the Kings.
Much love,

Hello Cat House on the Kings!
Kai is doing absolutely wonderful in her forever home. We have decided to rename her Nala. She can’t get enough running around in complete spaz mode every single night when we try to go to bed. Nala is such a sweet heart and so smart she’s trying her absolute best to get our older cat to accept her. We messed up introducing them initially because we were too excited to have them meet but we are working very hard to fix that and Nala is right there trying her hardest as well. She loves to attack anything that moves or doesn’t (including our shoes) and loves to stalk us or the older cat by hiding behind doors or under beds. She has become so immediate attached to both her new parents but of course if her new dad is here she seems to love cuddling in his big arms over her momma. We can’t even separate the to cats to spend one on one time with the older one without Nala becoming very upset she’s not being included. We are so happy to have little monkey with us and will continue to update you guys with pictures as she grows!

Hello Cat House on the Kings,
Thank you for your email checking in about Kevin. I apologize for the delay in my response. Kevin is doing very well. He was at ease here right away and we got comfortable with each other right away. I considered a variety of different names, but Kevin is the name that stuck. :) I am currently in the process of leash training him so that he can be certified as an emotional support animal. He is incredibly friendly and social and enjoys walking in the park and meeting new people. I think being a support animal is a great fit for his personality and energy. I have attached a few pictures.

Tammy,
After a long journey, everyone is at home loving life! So, here’s a family photo of us! Now that they’re both super comfortable, it’s hard to get them to sit still.
Both are amazing, special kitties and we are so thankful! Ruby is a fearless kitty who has a ferocious little growl for her tiny size and Blue (16595, he may be named Olaf, Leo, or Andy...he’s still opening up!) is such a lover and is really starting to get over being scared.
Once Brett’s cat, Olive, adjusts we will send an updated photo. Thanks for helping us add to our small family!

Hi Karla--
I got to stay home from work the other day because we had a lot of snow, so Django and Gypsy had to entertain me for the day. They finally got to rest, and I got a great photo of them looking out the window into the front yard. I'm using it as a screensaver on my computer at work, and thought you'd like it, too.
They are such good cats, and I love them dearly. They're getting so BIG!!! Especially Django. Gypsy is struggling to maintain her girlish figure, but it's tough when there's so much food available. They really like baked chicken, warm from the microwave, for breakfast and dinner. Yes, they're very spoiled.
I hope you all are doing well.

Hi Kristen! She’s doing great! The kids decided to name her Luna. Our
other cat, Lilly, wasn’t thrilled and pretty much kept a 20 foot distance
from her for the first week, but Luna has been a trooper and keeps trying
to get Lilly to play. They are now getting along well and have even chased
each other around a bit. She’s very playful and curious, and loves all
treats, especially tuna :-)
She’s already claimed a favorite spot on one of the chairs and can be
found just lounging around sprawled out on the floors too. She’s a happy
kitty and we’re so happy to have her too! I’ve attached a few pics...

Hi Kristen,
Thank you for reaching out!
We are completely in love (I may be obsessed) with these little babies. I
could send pictures all day so am stopping myself at 3! The General (aka
Tubbs, aka Good Sir) and Lady Whiteshadow (Shadow aka Princess aka Little
Hen aka Little Chinchill ... they will never learn their names) have
adjusted wonderfully - they even travelled home to Iowa with us over
Christmas and did a great job with the flights and settling into their home
away from home for 10 days.
He was 5kg in early Dec when we did the final round of shots at the vet,
earning his nickname Tubbs, and she was 4kg; both healthy and very popular
at the vet’s office. They are both so sweet: comfortable with all humans,
sleep next to us every night, and never want to be apart for more than a
minute or two. He is a ferocious hunter of fake mice, and she is an
incredible jumper when lasers are involved.
Have a good one - and thank you again for letting their new home be ours!

Hi Tracy!
Thanks for the email follow up. He is doing absolutely fantastic! He's growing by leaps and bounds and having a blast over here with me. He's loved so much and I'm glad I made the decision to adopt him. He has completed adopted Me as well. lol he's very attached, sleeps with me , constantly talks and chatters at me and follows me around the house from room to room, never letting me out of his sight for very long. A total Lover. He's got tons of toys and eats like a little King. I'd say he's pretty darn happy, lol. Rip-roaring through the house playing and being silly all the time. He's a crack-up, my little buddy.
:)
Here's a bunch of pics of him. He's hard to photograph because he's a kitten and he's so fast! Always moving around Lol but I thought you might like to see him and maybe his Foster Mom would like to see these pics of him again too, to see how he's doing. Thanks again! have a great evening. :)

Hello Tracy,
Holland, whose new name is Spoons, is doing great! She is a delightful kitty, and brings much joy to my son and I. She was shy only the first day, but when she realized that we respect her privacy, she became playful and happy.
She is quite clever, and expressive - she makes people, who have not much experience with cats ( some of our guests) easily understand, what she wants from them.
She is very affectionate to my son and I. When both of us are in the living room, she tries to share her attention between both of us, so neither one will feel left out - it's so cute!
I am attaching three photos so you can see for yourself.
Thank you for checking on her, I really appreciate you taking a great care of cats even after adoption!
Kind regards,

Hi there!
Seamus is doing great in his new home :) our other cats haven't warmed 100% yet but we are keeping them separate when we aren't able to supervise them. No lashing out from the other two, just hissing and growling which we expected. Seamus is a total lover who hasn't hissed once or even growled since being adopted. He likes to cuddle and burrow in blankets. He also likes being held and stays very calm. I am sure after a little more time our two kitties will warm up to him.

Hi Tracy,
They are the best babies ever! We renamed our girl to Lucy, so it's Benny and Lucy now. They are doing well and keep us very entertained. They eat like little piggies and aren't afraid to try to swipe treats from the two big cats. Our 7 year old male had a rough time for about a month, but he is settling down and tolerating their mischief more now. Our 14 year old female actually plays with them a bit, and seems to enjoy just watching them tussle with each other. She adjusted to them quickly.
I am attaching pictures so you can see how spoiled and content they are.
Thanks,

Hi! Thank you for the email. They are doing well. They are playing and sleeping and eating and drinking and poo'ng and pee'ng! There first vet appt w our vet, Dr Hagus, is next Monday the 26th. They are due for their next boosters I believe as their birth dates are 030617 per their paperwork.
They have their own room full of toys beds cat trees litter food etc. they have the run of the back of the house w the hall door closed when the dogs are in, dogs on the other side of the door, and they have the run of the whole house when dogs are in.
We are trying to acclimate them to each other slowly. So far we've done the swap scents on fabric , we let the dogs smell the carrier I brought the kitten home in then we let the kittens smell the carrier after the dogs had fully inspected it. They have had across the room face time , w the dogs on leashes and someone holding them and then someone holding the kittens one at a time. Hershey is fine w it , acts unfazed, Sheba is scared when she sees them so we put her back in the cat room. We've done that two days in a row. Face time in same room but different sides of room
I just don't want over excited dogs to accidentally hurt a kitten. Everyone is saying they'll be fine just let them meet each other. But how can you do that and know nothing will happen? If you have any suggestions were open to them.
The kittens are eating what we were told to give them. The Blue kitten kibble and fancy feast kitten ocean whitefish (or fancy feast kitty turkey) those are the only kittens one I think they make. And the fancy feast ocean whitefish was in the list on Amazon of things to donate so I'm assuming that's ok and the lady I was emailing w said that's ok

Hi Tracy,
Mike and Molly are both a great fit to our family and seem to have adjusted great to their 2 bothers and sister (my 3 children.) I think the best for them was when their brand new 75" cat tree arrived--it is their favorite hangout (aside from Molly laying in one of our laps or on any pile of laundry she can find!) They have both grown quite a bit and we just adore their cuddles and purrs!

Hi Tracy
The kittens are doing great thank you! We call them Skye and Islay now. They're very settled in and are total cuddlers. Very playful too. Skye has just curled up on my chest as I'm typing this! They've been to the vet for their boosters and are in good health. No concerns on our end, they've quickly become part of the family and are doing great. I'll attach a few photos.
I've asked before but is there any chance you could help me get the photo Heather took of me, my husband and the kittens when we picked them up? She said she'd send it to me but I never got it. We'd really like to have it.
Thanks and if you've any questions let me know.

Hi Tracy,
Jackson (we changed his name it JAX now :) ) has made our home complete. Our older cat is back to being a sweetheart, because the middle cat and JAX play all the time and he can get some rest. Jax transitioned into the house fairly well. He likes his alone time, then other times wants to lay with either of his "brothers" and nap. He loves to play with the laser pointer. He's been a perfect fit for our home and we couldn't be happier. I've attached some pictures for your viewing pleasure. If there's anything else you would like an update on, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for checking in! We re-named him Smokey, and he is our sweet Smokey boy! We love him, and he's settled in well in his new home. He's sweet and loving, curious and playful, and a cuddly little guy. He's eating well and plays with his toys. He does great when we're both gone for work, and he's happy to see us when we get home and spend the evening playing and being near us.
I did have one question for you. I know from the paperwork, he has not been vaccinated for rabies. While he is absolutely an indoor cat, we live in a rural area where a number of animals have been found to have rabies in the past year. With that in mind, what is your opinion on getting him vaccinated for rabies?
We are so happy and grateful that Smokey is part of our family! I've attached a few of the many photos we've taken of him in the last month. We are so appreciative of the all you've done to take care of him so we could adopt such a wonderful sweet kitten.
Thank you!

Hi Tracy! Morti the Torti is doing very well! She was renamed to Nova. So her and her adopted sister are Nova and Scotia!
Nova has adjusted very well. She and her sister play, wrestle, and take long naps together. She is younger than Scotia but she sure is feisty and can put her sister in check! Lol I've attached some pictures. We couldn't be happier. Both kittens are such a joy to our family. They get lots of love, attention, treats and toys. They are spoiled little babies. 💕

Hi Tracy,
Since adopting Sid he has been renamed Rocky. My husband and I are completely in love with him and so is his older kitty sister, Stevie Wonderful. Stevie is 2 years old and also blind so they are a good match for each other. She was a little hesitant about him at first but now they are the best of friends; they play, cuddle, and take turns grooming each other. She has never been happier, and I think it goes the same for him ;)
We took Rocky to the veterinarian last week for a checkup and the vaccination recommended by the Cat House on the Kings. His vet discovered that he had an eye infection and prescribed antibiotics. The eyes have cleared up a lot since last week and are looking much better.
Thank you so much for taking in a litter of blind kittens. My husband and I are very grateful that Rocky and his siblings were rescued and adopted. A lot of rescue groups pass on blind cats because they are "less adoptable," Rocky and his siblings are proof that there are homes out there for blind cats :)
Thanks for all you do! I've attached a couple of pics of Rocky and Stevie Wonderful, please share with anyone who might like to see them.
Sincerely,
Nicole French

Hi Tracy,
Clovis (we have renamed him Stewart) is great! He is a very loving, sweet, curious little guy and we really enjoy him. He and our husky are now friends. I had emailed a few days after we brought him home about him sneezing some and how he had a little yellow-ish snot from his nose. I think it was Tammy who was emailing back and forth about that. He is still doing this, but a little less frequent. He has a doctors appointment with Lacey Animal Hospital in Hanford tomorrow afternoon to get his 3rd booster and to check out his sneezing. We will keep you updated on that. We love him; he's a wonderful addition to our family!
I'll attach a few photos of him for you all.

Hi Tracy, Tammy,
I meant to get back to Tammy on their updates! They are doing great, they still have slight cold symptoms (such as sneezing) but they are better than they were before. I plan to get a humidifier so hopefully that'll help them & me (get over both of our colds). No more eye infection, they're eating, and they're up and running. Kuda (Smokey) was throwing up, not eating, and had a poop incident on my sister's bed while I was gone for a weekend on vacation with my boyfriend. I came back early to see if I needed to take him to the vet, but I haven't seen any of those symptoms since I have been home. I might begin transitioning them to a raw food diet. Kuda (Smokey) isn't a big fan of dry kibble or Temptation treats which I find a little odd. All in all, they have both been doing great. Each and every one of my family members has grown to love them. Two is definitely better than one.
Happy New Year! Hope all is well at The Cat House(s) in Kings County.
Warmest regards,
Serena T

Hi Tracy,
I thought I could send more pictures of our Yum Yum (Sweet Pea) - we adopted her in September this year. She is a pretty young lady now! She is still a kitty though and loves to play! Her favorite toy is a ping-pong ball in the bathtub. She can play there for hours! Then she - somehow - gets the ball out of the bathtub and we have a hard time to find it again :) I have a job now and work Monday - Friday and my husband Zach Friday - Sunday. So on Friday they are alone for 8 hours but all our kitties are doing great. Yum Yum loves to eat and sleep in our bed at night. For Christmas they (we have 4 cats Sphynx Mina, orange tabby Winston, Turkish Angora Marshmallow and Siamese mix Yum Yum) got a ceramic water fountain, window hammock, toy, bed, toy for treats and treats and catnip toys.
We are blessed to have her here! I attached some pictures of her - in their teepee I made, with my husband, all of them on their couch, Yum Yum watching the snow, our Christmas card, Marshmallow and Yum Yum with Santa - she was so well behaved!! ..and their new water fountain.
Have a great day

Tracy,
We are doing great! Lolly has been renamed Millie. She has adapted quickly to our home and is getting a long well with our 8yr old cat. Her favorite thing to do right now is play fetch up the stairs. She prefers the little fuzzy white mice over other toys at the moment. A few weeks ago we discovered she had a little spot of ringworm on her head. We went to the vet and he gave us some medication. She's been tolerating the nightly dose of medicine well. And she's a pig! She tries to eat everything. She's such a sweet baby, thank you for letting me bring her home.

Hi Tracy,
This is Olinka Zach's wife.
She is doing good! We named her Yum Yum. It's from one book "the cat who.." by Lilian Jackson Braun where was one smart Sienese cat her name was Yu and her new owner called her Yum Yum. ..really nice books! She is not in the first one though and those are crime books - just in case you like to read :)
Our Yum Yum had a rough first day - I'm not sure if Tammy told you. But she roll off the balcony :( she was sitting under and I got her after like 10 seconds and Zach watched from the balcony - that's my emergency plan if something happens that he is watching and I run there - I like to be ready for everything just in case..so we rashed to the vet. They said she is alright but kept her there for 4 hours just in case she is breathing and acting well. She had a little scratch under her eye and she wasn't allowed to go on the balcony. I put chicken wire all around and she is good now. Our balcony is on second floor.
I attached some pics with her scratch under the eye and with our other kitties. Orange big one is Winston who we have since kitty he is 1.5 years old, fluffy white is Marshmallow who I got in Canada when he was a little baby boy traveled with him to Czech Republic and then back here he is a really spoiled kitty :) he is 2.5 years old but still momma's little baby and little orange one Pocketwatch that we watch sometimes - she is only indoor healthy neighbours cat around 3 months old - we share the balcony with them.
Yum Yum sleeps with us in the bed every night and all night. She is a healthy kitty who loves to eat and play! Zach works on weekends and I'm home 24/7 except shopping and that is good that I'm here because she is very affectionate. First Friday when Zach left for work and I was in the bed she was standing in the living room where the entrance is and meowed so I came there what happened and she was soooo happy to see me like she thought we left her there alone and forgot that I'm still in the bed :)
We are really sorry for the accident I know accident happens but I still blame myself even when we were right there and watched her. She did her cute kitty rolling and fall. We have two other cats + Neighbors Pocketwatch who is younger than Yum Yum and all of them are very careful so we watched her if she wants to jump - she didn't want to - but I didn't think that it could be an accident like this :(
Oh and her first day before the balcony accident.. so we came to Moscow, Idaho around midnight and after long driving we wanted her to relax so she slept alone in our second bedroom - we didn't want her to meet our boys that night. In the morning after their breakfast we introduced them and it was great :) Marshmallow and Winston were careful and moved slowly and she ran out of the bedroom smelled Marshmallows face before he had a chance to back up or do something then the same with Winston and then ran around the apartment and explore :) Im happy that boys are very gentle with her because sometimes they play rough together but I knew they will be gentle because they are with Pocketwatch and that's why we wanted kitty around her age so boys are used to it :)
She has plenty of toys - we use our second bedroom as a living room so our living room is their playground..full of toys + box and paper bags :) we have one big scratching post and 5 smaller..and several cat beds - nobody is using them! And when she gets bored of toys she plays with boys :)
Have a great day!

Hi, Tracy!
They are doing so well and have really taken to their new home. We have a couple of big cat trees and they LOVE those, they have the greatest personalities, just perfect. They are now called Mochi and Miso. We're so glad we made the decision to adopt them together, they are the silliest little boys. I have attached a few pics of them, one is so cute - they slept with my granddaughter when she came over for a visit and they missed her so much when she left.

Hi Tracy! Thanks for checking in on us! Echo (formally Bobby) has settled in wonderfully with our family and is getting along very well with our other fur babies. The dogs are rather indifferent though Magyver is a little afraid of him, ha! As expected, it took a little longer with my kitty Sammy...I think maybe two weeks before they were playing and doing midnight kitty zoomies through the house :) We all feel very fortunate that the two boys have clicked so well. Hi Tracy,
Kuma is doing very well. Since the last update, he visited the veterinarian for his vaccination. He is growing quickly and continues to be energetic and playful. Kuma is well adjusted and equally well behaved. He learned the rules of the house and its daily rhythms within his first couple weeks with us. He has a wonderful way about him that gets everyone involved with his antics. He is still very much the purr bucket that he was when we first met him. I've attached some photos of Kuma so you can see how he is growing.
Our family visited Cat House on the Kings during the recent open house. We have never seen anything like it before and were very impressed. Our oldest daughter, Ashley, enjoyed volunteering that day and has been helping at the Fresno Petco adoption center. Thanks to everyone for all you do to help so many cats and kittens get well and find new homes.
Thanks,

Pepe (or as we call him, Larry) is growing fast and doing well. He loves to play with toys and runs throughout the house carrying them in his mouth. But his favorite toy is his big sister, Fergie. His purr is fantastic, he's very smart and very affectionate. It's love all around.
Attached is a photo of Larry and Fergie, enjoying the view from their perches.

Dear Tracy,
He is doing well and loving the life. He has really gotten to be best buds with his big sister Holly. He love to eat and begs for food. He is also so sweet at night. Loves to cuddle and wants so much attention from me or my sister Jessica. He loves to chase Holly and play with the laser. I believe Holly has gotten over her diva fit and enjoys having him around too. However he is still a bit jumpy during the day and runs away when any human comes near him. We still love him though. He is a great addition to our family. Thanks for letting us adopt him.

Audrey is doing great. After a couple weeks of getting acclimated to her new home, I slowly introduced her to Gimli (my Old English Sheepdog). They are friends now and have no problems with one another...except for bed time. Gimli isn't used to sharing me for sleep time and Audrey likes to unplug my alarm clock. Haha. She's always playful. She's a purring machine. I adore her. And Gimli is pretty fond of her, too. She head butts Gimli and pounces on his tennis balls. It's adorable.
She's growing like a weed. I've attached some pictures.

We're taking a family vacation this weekend in Santa Barbara. Found a pet-friendly hotel. We walk them on harnesses pretty regularly and they love it so we'll be able to take them around the property. :)
Hope all is well,

Staff at Cat House on the Kings,
I cannot even begin to tell you how lucky we are to have adopted our kitten there, we decided to name her Lola. She is the most friendly, playful kitten I think I have ever had! She is adjusting really well to her new home, she follows my boyfriend and I all around and never stops purring so I think it's safe to say that she is as happy to have us as we are to have her. My experience adopting her was nothing short of perfection, thank you all for everything you do. I know where I will recommend anyone who is looking to adopt. I'll add some pictures of Lola!
Sincerely,

The boys are doing well. They are happy and healthy and have brought a lot of joy and fun to our home. I know they like having each other to play and fight and explore and cuddle with as well. I was cautioned that they may need extra time to adapt due to their background, but I'm happy to report that they are very affectionate and comfortable with us - two little love machines with loud purr motors! I hope you enjoy these photos and thank you all for the wonderful work you do. Happy New Year!

Hi Tracy - everything is well! My daughter decided to rename her Penny.
Penny is a bundle of energy - Lizzie my daughter loves her very much and tells me often - how glad she is to have adopted her. I'm quite fond of her --- actually the whole family loves her a bunch. Well that is except Nee - Nee my 14 year old cat. Penny tries to show her sometimes who is boss and that doesn't go over well. Maybe one day they will be chummy. In the mean time we will love them both. I hope everything is well with the Cat House on the Kings --- we wish you all a very happy holiday season!

Sorry for the late response. Shakespurr is doing great and has gotten along very well with his new big brother Chubi. He is such a loving kitty and wants nothing more than to be close to me, constantly following when I leave the room and purring when he realizes I’m close. I’m happy to say that he is making progress in his growth. He is one of the smallest cats I’ve seen for his age, yet with an unlimited supply of canned food at his every whim, I hope to change that. I cannot express how excited I am to see him grow and mature in the years to come. In the short month we ha€™ve had him, he has become a tiny treasure to us that will be loved for the rest of his days. Thanks Cathouse!

Hello,
Fergie (we have named her Kiki) is doing great. She is so sweet and playful.
Just a couple weeks ago, she finally was able to warm up to our other cat and now they play together and sleep near each other... Not quite "best" friends yet but they're getting there.
She has been such a great addition to our family, we cannot thank you enough for letting us adopt her. I have attached a couple photos that my wife took of her.
Thank you,

Hello Tracy,
Brad Kitts name is now Gambit, and he is doing very well. He loves to play and sit in the sun looking out the window. I kept him on the royal canine kitten food and also given him whole earth kitten food. He also enjoys about a can to a can and a half of wet food (whole earth and blue wilderness kitten) He does really well with the litter box, only a couple accidents. He has an appointment set to get his last shot. Gambit is a very sweet and playful kitten, I am very happy to have him.

I am just disappointed that my husband, Chris, didn't get Catsanova also, when he was there. I had wanted both & he also wishes he had gotten him. If Catsanova is returned for any reason, please let us know.
Thank you for the way you handle your adoptions. You are very professional & caring. We appreciate your care & concern.

Thank you for the email. Coral is an awesome sweet lively girl. She has us laughing all the time. She sleeps right beside me already. I bought the Royal Canin Kitten food and she loves it.
My other cat is watching Coral closely but does not want Coral too close yet. Coral is trying to make friends all the time with Chloe so I know it will happen soon. I will send pictures etc. later on so all of you can see her at play. She loves to be brushed.

Dear Tammy,
Maggie May (now Mishka) made it home safely. As expected, she was very timid and cautious when we opened the carrier. That lasted about 3 minutes, after which she was very curious about her new home and explored. The other cats were less than happy to have her in the home. I had my mom dogsit our Leonberger so that Mishka could acclimate to her new surroundings without a giant beast putting her on edge.
After about 30 minutes she discovered my bed and found it to be the most wondrous thing. On the bed she turned into a vicious little monster shredding my hands in a game of bed-mice. She quickly overcame any timidness she initially had. She has been very bold towards the other kitties that weren't happy to have her here.
In less than a day she was answering to her new name. Her vicious playfulness is only matched by her love and sweetness. No matter how she's feeling she's always ready with a very loud purr! She likes to be in whatever room I'm in even if she's not interacting with me.
By Sunday evening Widget, the other kitten was playing with her (though still hissing at her whenever she thought I was watching). Now the two of them chase each other and tumble throughout the house. My older cat is too old for these youngsters and still isn't happy. I think secretly she enjoys having Mishka here so that Widget is no longer trying to play, ambush, and attack her. Today she's finally decided to come back up on the bed, still a bit of the cold shoulder but she's coming along.
Mishka still isn't to thrilled with Kodie, the big dog. She's ok being in the same room with her as long as she doesn't get too close. Kodie is a good and sensitive dog and although she's anxious to meet Mishka up close is keeping her distance and will do that until Mishka comes to her.
Mishka seems to love her new home with us and we absolutely love having her as part of the family.
Thank you again for making our family possible.
Gratefully,

The kittens are happy and healthy. We fell in love with them immediately. We have a large dog crew and three other indoor cats that we introduced to them slowly. Charlie Foxtrot ( we renamed him Romulus) was obviously raised with dogs because he was super cool with them immediately. Mimi (renamed Flora) took a couple of weeks. She now rubs up on them. They are both lap kitties and love to snuggle, especially Flora. She prefers to sleep on somebody. Their big brother Harrison likes to snuggle with them and groom them. Here are some current photos of them.

Hi Cheryl and Charlie! Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know Bronson and Cheez-it are best of buds! Caught Bronson snuggling with baby with his arm over him as they slept in the window ledge. This is actually the top of a built in dresser in our closet with a large panoramic window above it. They LOVE this space because they can watch all the birds, grey squirrels, etc. like national geo adventures! Of course they have a nice soft cushy blanket to lay on which gets plugged in in the winter for warmth. :-) spoiled rotten. Just the way we like it!

We love our kitties!!! They are adapting well to their new home and enjoy each other as well as us. They also have great names.
Kitten 11745 is Marco (dark tabby) and kitten 12316 is Polo (orange tabby). Yes, Marco Polo…an explorer and also a game kids play in the pool. These two are both explorers with Marco (2 weeks older) taking the lead. They may start out alone but quickly are a pair in just about all they do…always looking for each other to play. Both kitties are amazingly affectionate…I actually think Polo believes I am his mom. He adopted me at the Cat House and that hasn’t changed. Both kitties also love my husband Dean as well and he is happy that they seem to love sitting in his lap. Both kitties purr A LOT and Polo has a tiny little meow. Oddly enough Marco hasn’t meowed at all yet…but we know his learning is excellent. Our floor is strewn with cat toys once again…lots of fun!
Thanks so much…you do such a wonderful service for the animals you rescue!

Angie and Izzie are growing like weeds! Augie's weak, wobbly hind quarters seem not to get in his way of doing anything he wants to do. He literally hauls himself up to the highest deck of the cat tower we got for them with his front legs only and he charges up and downstairs like nobody's business and faster than Izzie.
Izzie got an eye infection last weekend that dictated a vet visit, but after 4 days of administering eye ointment, which was not fun, we can now see both of her beautiful blues!
We absolutely love our 2 new babies and, from all indications, they have adjusted very well and are learning to love us, too.
Thanks again to Tammy and everyone at Cathouse on the Kings.

Hi Lynea,
First, thank you for taking the time to introduce us to Cleo and Buffy. They were a little nervous in the car but finally settled into a nap during the drive home- quiet as mice. The picture below was yesterday's morning nap after our first family walk then some yard play time. They have their choice of various beds but chose to nap together. They are both great dogs and incredibly well-behaved. Our cats aren't thrilled with their arrival but are slowly venturing out to assess the situation. Buffy as you know loves to play and fetch but is most content on my lap- where she is at this moment. Cleo is a delight and very smart. She is actually the less confident one. For some reason she does not like to enter or exit through the front door but already this morning was much easier to coax out for our walk. Anyway, we are delighted with them.
Thank you for all the great work you do at Cat House On The Kings- what a special place you've created.
Sincerely,
Janet and Jerry Kasdorf

Jessie is doing just great, he is the most affectionate kitty ever - constant kisses and snuggles and loves to be held. He eats well, uses the litter boxes, and he is having a blast playing with his new big brother Ginger, who has shown him the ropes around the house, the best places to nap, and gives him daily lick-baths. They really seem to love each other and do everything together. :)

Hi Tammy,
I adopted two kittens from the Cat House on the Kings last year on April 20th -- I remember the day exactly because it was Easter Sunday and I drove 3 hours to Fresno just to pick them up and was so excited to have some kitty friends after going without pet cats for such a long time. I adopted 'Peep' and 'S'more' a brother and sister pair from a litter of three and I believe you were their foster Mom.
It's been a year now since I adopted them and 'Snowy' and 'Cleo' have celebrated their 1 year birthdays in February and I just wanted to write you and tell you how happy I am with both of them and that they have grown up to be the most sweet, considerate, and loving cats I've ever had the pleasure of living with. I cannot thank the Cat House on the Kings enough for taking such good care of your animals and providing such loving homes for foster kittens! I cannot tell you how often and willing I am to gush to anyone who will listen about the good work you are doing at the Cat House on the Kings and how I think everyone considering adopting a cat or kitten should check you out, no matter how long the drive.
Also, I wanted to send you some pictures of Snowy and Cleo all grown up so you can see what beautiful cats they have become. They are happy, healthy, indoor-only cats and I make sure to snuggle them at every opportunity, talk to them and tell them how much they are loved, and provide them with the choicest toys, best healthcare (courtesy of pet insurance!), and the freshest food.
Also I was wondering if you could send me the picture you took of me when I first adopted them at the Petco adoption center? I think it was a really nice photo and I would love to have it.
Thanks so much again!

Hi from Milo's house,
Here's the info you're waiting to hear...he's doing just great! There have been no litter box issues at all. He's getting used to my house so well that I no longer have to keep him in the laundry/bathroom at all - even at night or when I'm gone for awhile.
He definitely lets me know when it's time for his Friskies treat, and he loves running up and down the hall very fast - just because he can. There are lots of noises around here that he's not too sure
of, so I'm working on those - like the washer and dryer, heater coming on, lawn mowers and the
vacuum...
I want to thank both of you again for all the loving care you showered on Milo. You knew in you're hearts that there was a good chance for him if he found the right situation and I'm the lucky one who has that right place! I feel very fortunate :-)
Sincerely,
Sally

I just wanted to let you guys know that Summer is doing great in her new home. She & her cat sister are getting along & starting to snuggle together.
Summer has also become fairly comfortable being around Buddy, her coon hound brother. They don't interact much, but have no trouble in getting along. She's also met Marmaduke, her Ridgeback brother, & is getting more comfortable with him too.
She's still rather petite but has a great appetite. She loves lounging around as much as she likes playing. She's at the point where I leave her & Silver (cat sister) loose in the house when I leave. She still has her "safe room" but it's only used for feeding & litter box use anymore.
Thank you for rescuing her & letting her join our family. (The picture I'm sending is her & Silver snoozing on my lap together)

Hi Tammy,
Thought you would like an update. Pippin and Rainbow are thriving.
They are over 4 pounds now - Rainbow is bigger than Pippin. She is going to be a very big girl. They are both very very affectionate. They love being with us and with each other and they are into absolutely everything!
My girl friends threw a kitty shower for them and I thought that might make some fun pictures for you. They got so many toys but of course the best fun were the bags and the tissue paper and the ribbons! Also included one to show how big they have gotten...and long tails that are just starting to sprout into fluffiness.

Hi All-
The first day we weren't so sure – she was a little timid and nervous and very quiet but she got over that quickly! Her favorite game is to chase my feet under the covers and stalk them or to play “get you” = which basically chase and hide and seek in the house. She is so precious and loving – usually wanting to lay on my face and purr or lick my chin in the middle of the night and many mornings we wake up w/ her under our covers curled up next to our feet.
I will try to get some better pix – these make it seem like all she does is sleep but that is not the case. I tried to send some videos but they wouldn’t send from this email (my work) so will try from home. Purrr has been sick – poor thing. She has sneezed constantly since the day we got her from you but I figured that could be from stress of moving and leaving home. But by last week it turned into really bad wheezing and congestion – poor thing sounded like she was either dry heaving or had sinus infection. The vet said it was a kitty cold or flu or possibly bordetella. She is on anti-biotics and I think she is doing better although that little bugger could pick that pill out of any kind of food, eat everything on her plate and leave that pill in the middle to prove that she is smarter than us. We finally found some treats that if they are moist we can hide the pill in them.
She told me she misses you! Otherwise, we are thrilled w/ her. She is purrrfect for us!

Hi
I wanted to send you some updated pictures on the two kittens we adopted from you guys about a month ago. I'm sure you have allot of volunteers we came in that day and volunteered in the kitten area. It was myself Cari Lake, my daughter Erika Lake and my niece Cassie. The kittens are doing great and getting along well with our other pets. We named kitten 7547 Tiggy because she bounces around the house like Tigger from winne the pooh. We named kitten 7548 Lala. She is just a teenie tiny lil thing but she doesn't think so. Tiggy is twice her size now which i think with the size of tiggy's paws she will be a big girl. We are all planning to move to our new home and the kittys all 4 of them will be able to go in the backyard as we are going to put up/build the fence that angles so they cant get out but enjoy the backyard. Another lady in the neighborhood did it and we thought that would be a great idea for them.
Thank you again for letting us come out and help and for these two lil additions.

I can't believe that it has been a year and a half since we adopted Cookie from The Cat House on the Kings. She is doing great and we are having so much fun with her. She has filled out nicely and is a healthy, smart little thing. She loves to go for walks and loves to play with her adopted sister Ginger. They have been a nice fit for one another.
One thing we noticed is that she does seem to like cats. While I don't actually have one, when we walk she's quite interested in them and doesn't mind being near them. I can't help but think that it's due to the unusual circumstances of her rescue and the many cats she had for her first friends!
We just wanted you to know that she's doing well and enjoys her home and her family!

I thought you might like to see the cats we adopted from the Cat House. Wiggles is the Manx and Sweet Pea is the Lynx Point Siamese. As you can see they have grown quite a bit in 2 months. They have become very attached to each other and the personalities blend together very well. They have adapted to the RVing life style... especially when we are in a park where there are lots of birds and animals. Thank you very much for saving our very special babies for us... we tell everybody about the Cat House so you might get a lot of calls and visits. Thank you again.

Here are the first show photos of the two kittens I adopted from the Visalia, CA, show in October.
The red classic tabby kitten is Catch Me, a confident young man from Cat House on the Kings; he took Best Household Pet in a class of 20 seasoned campaigners, and made three additional finals for the top ten HHPs. He charmed the judges!
The black tortoiseshell is Chase Me, more timid young girl from Love of Animals. She purrs and cuddles her way into the judges’ arms; she placed in the top ten in three finals.
I’ll enter them in a couple of more shows, so they remember how much fun it is; then they can relax until May, when the new show season starts and I campaign them.
Thanks for saving them and thanks for bringing them to the Visalia cat show so I could fall in love with them.

Hi Kathy,
I'm typing this with one hand because L.E. is curlred up on my lap and other arm. I'm so very thankful that you and The Cat House on Kings allowed me to adopt him even though I live in Arizona. He is the most loving sweetheart I've ever had and it must be because he was a bottle fed baby. He'll sit on my lap for as long as I stay put. He turned out to be as much of a beautiful cat as he was an adorable kitten. He has a goofy streak in him and a bit of the Siamese stubborn streak. He's a big boy weighing in at 11 lbs at a little over a year old but he's very muscular and sturdy. I credit the great care he got from you as a baby for his present good health. Thank you!!!! I have my best friend in Michigan voting every day for the Cat House on Kings and she has watched the specials on T.V. She (and I) are some of it's biggest fans. Keep up the great work and bless you!! (I've attached some photos of "Sox".) He goes nuts over the printer and tries to attack the paper as it comes out.

I love them so very much and (we!) can't imagine our lives any other way. I do however have one regret....they're growing too darn fast!!! Here they are on their second day at home - (a nap between play times). Thank you Cat House on the Kings, for so much love!

Hi Lynea,
I just wanted to send you and Kathy a quick note on how our little girl is doing. We adopted her on Friday, named her Kodee and she is doing wonderful. We took her in the next morning for a wellness check with our vet. She received her second set of shots, plus one for bordatella. We will take her back in two weeks to get her stiches out,and receive her booster shots.
Kodee loves our lab mix, Rocky. She wants to follow him everywhere!. He's not too sure what to do with her,yet :). She is a lot smaller than him. So,far they are fine together.
I will email with more updates. I must go to work now. Kodee is sleeping with my daughter, Leanna. She is very happy and SO SWEET.

We had a beautiful Ragdoll 1 yr old female cat that walked around the house crying. After intense investigation and vet's check NOTHING was wrong...day after day Bootsy was unhappy. We visited The Cat House on the Kings and was so elated. We fell in love with Lynea and her very friendly informative staff. But we couldn't decide which baby to add to our home. We had to sit in the adoption house at the tables and chairs for at least an hour watching and waiting. "She" was teasing the other kittens in the adoption room, playing keep away with her toy. "She" was so adorable and actually brought her stick toy to play with us. Lo' and behold our precious Gypsy picked us. She is a dilute Calico with extra toes on her front paws making them appear to be oven mitts. Boy can she catch toys in the air. She is the perfect match. She has a playful yet respectful attitude and Bootsy doesn't cry anymore. They run, jump, chase, roll around together like true sisters. It was an immediate love attraction. Bootsy even goes into the cat box after Gypsy to make sure her "business" is covered all the way! We loved the Cat House so much we have been back 4 times just to pet the animals and even took our 90 year old Mother to enjoy them as well. Thank you Cat House and Lynea. See the photos and see Gypsy sitting on "her" stool at the breakfast bar with Dad eating her morning meal like she does with him every morning! But she NEVER gets on the table or the counters. Only eats if something is put before her. Nope, she isn't the spolied kitty at all! P.S. We also have a Jack Russell Terrier that everyone said was a no, no...they have a great bond and mutual respect and Gypsy lays besides Pebbles whenever she can.

It's been a while since I adopted Purrcey but I wanted to let you know what a joy it is to have him! He brings entertainment and life to my house and he loves to play with my other cats. He is a little rascal and yet so sweet, too. He's very precious to me, thank you!
I attached some pics (first one is his adoption picture from petfinder, the others are 6 months later at home)

Thank you so much, Carmen! I want to frame a photo of him to put with my other kitties --- I have three spoiled, totally pampered, cats who allow my husband and I to share their home and cater to their every whim. Wish I could do the same for Jay Jay, but my husband has put his foot down on more housemates, so I’m doing what I can by sponsoring long distance.
Attached is a photo of Simba (boy kitty, in foreground), Sassy (girl kitty, Simba’s sister, hidden by curtain) and Miss Kitty (gray tabby). Very rare photo of the three of them together. Miss Kitty is 11, and she doesn’t usually hang out with the “babies” (who are now going on three years old).
These are Jay Jay’s siblings!!!

Hi my name is Daisy (formerly puppy 2253) and I am 8 months old. I am the sister of Puppy 2251, Puppy 2252, Puppy 2254, Puppy 2255 and Puppy 2256. I was the last puppy of my littermates to be adopted in October 2009. My mom is Nicole. I like Nicole a lot and she has taken very good care of me. We go on walks and play at the park. I love water, hopping through the tall grass and destroying my toys. Maybe I should be a toy tester. I know high five, turn right, turn left, cross your paws, bow, crawl, shake hands, sit up and speak. I am learning to tidy up (put my toys in my toy box), bring my toy box out and put it away, open and close the refrigerator, turn on and off the lights...and soon I will be running for president. I am a very busy girl.
Daisy is my shadow. We do everything together. She is in a constant state of "go". Every day I am amazed by how quickly she learns new tasks. We just completed basic obedience and started intermediate last week. Daisy does have some fear issues, but she is making steady progress. I could never imagine not having Daisy in my life.
Lynea, thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to adopt Daisy.

Dear friends of The Cat House of the Kings,
It's been about nine months since we adopted Aslan from your wonderful recuse shelter. He has been an awesome addition to our family. He loves his little boy very much, and the rest of the family members too. Aslan is always making us laugh and he brings us lots of joy every day. We hope to come for a visit soon. Thanks for the newslettters.

Hi everyone,
The Muppets of Oz, Moani and Savali, got bathed and sun dried last week. At 8 months they are growing fast and herding anything that moves. Savali is a great runner, but Moani is craftier. After all the toys we have purchased, their favorite things remain plastic bottles and toilet paper rolls. Go figure.
Hope you are all doing well. We continue to vote in the Animal Rescue challenge and I saw that you won a few weeks back. Good job!

Hi,
Thank you again for helping me with the kitten adoption process and getting through a tough winter with the kittens. Alexis has recovered from her upper respiratory infection and ringworm. She now enjoys running around the house, chasing her brother Dexter. They are both so active (they only stay still when sleeping! :) And, they are both getting so big! It's amazing that only 2 months ago they were these tiny kittens. Now, I need both hands just to pick up one! ;) Attached are pictures of Alexis and Dexter.
Enjoy and thanks again!

We're doing great out here! She's such a love... growing so fast! She LOVES playing in the water after it rains, running after balls, and is learning how to catch a frisbee out of the air. Every day with her is treasured.
I hope all of her siblings are also happy in their new homes! Thank you so much for everything!

Dear Tammy,
I am sending you some pictures of the boys. As you can see they are a pile of orange and white. They have adjusted so well. The playing goes on day and night.
You see, I believe the reason no one wanted Samson and Goliath is that they were waiting for us. I will keep updating you during the years.
Thank you for all you do.

Hi Lynea and gang!
We are doing great here. We named him Stanley to give him a new start (it really seems to fit him well, and he responded immediately to his name) started on a great foot, and has really become a very happy puppy now that he is surrounded by so much love. He loves our little daughter and gets really protective when people get too close to her, he really enjoys playing tug of war with her and going on daily walks pulling his leash with her on the bike. He is getting stronger each day with regular exercise, but he is still a little bit of a lazy guy.
He enjoys being pampered, especially getting brushed after a bath with a hairdryer...he nearly falls asleep when the warm air hits him. The vet was really amazed with how good he looks, he got a fully clean bill of health on his physical exam, fecal test, blood test, and the groomer is absolutely in love with Stanley. His skin and hair are so much better already and the groomer assured us it will never come back. He is eating really well, and immediately got in a great routine with a tiny scratch at the door to go out potty. He loves relaxing in the back yard, but would rather hold his pee than get his feet wet in the recent rain storms...he protests when I finally convince him out to go into the soggy grass, his dramatic reluctant steps into the grass are hilarious.
Thank you all so much for saving him and helping us rescue him, he is already a big part of our family and getting along better every day with the cat. Not snuggling yet (the cat isn't so wary anymore), but we are all definitely a happy family.

I adopted Rocky, now named Atticus from your organization at a super adoption on 5/11/08. Atticus was to be a pal for my then 7 year old cat Trina. From the instant I first held him, Atticus just purred away (part of his charm) and won his way into my heart. Although Trina needed an adjustment period, the two wouldn't know what to do without each other, as would I be lost as well. Since then, we've added Niam a chihuahua. And the three are just as happy as can be.
Just wanted to say thank you for my Atticus, as he is one of the sweetest cats I have ever met and absolutely adore.

My name is Diego. I came from the Cat House on the Kings and was fostered by Kathy (who I will always love and never forget). I just turned 6 months old and finally found my "forever home".
My new Mom drove all the way from Las Vegas to get me. She saw my picture on the website and read all about me. She said she had always wanted to visit the Cat House on the Kings, so she drove all the way from Las Vegas to get me. It was a long trip home, but after I did enough crying, she let me sleep on her lap the whole way.
When I got to my new home, I was greeted by my two new brothers, Kirby who is 4, and Murray who is 5. They seemed okay, but didn't want to play with me. Kirby kept hissing and Murray just watched me from afar as I played with all my new toys.
Well, on the 2nd day in my new home, I had had enough - I wanted someone to play with me - so I just pounced on both those cats with no fear, and it worked! We rolled around and had so much fun.
I think I am going to love it here.

Hello Lynea and the rest of the Cat House on the Kings crew!
I just wanted to let you know that Xul, the blue merle border/aussie mix I adopted on the 17th is adjusting to her new home and fitting in wonderfully! She loves playing with her feline siblings and they're all doing great with her as well. Her vet check yesterday verified that she's in great health and that her spay incision is healing without problems. Xul is getting used to walking on a lead and has learned "sit" and "down". She's also learning "play dead," "roll over," "sit pretty," "crawl," and "give a kiss," and is eager to learn more. We couldn't be more pleased with her... thank you for everything! I've attached a couple photos of Xul and her siblings: Blanca, Cohen, and Sphiinx.

Hi there,
I am the person who adopted the little Manx female last year around Dec 1st. I just wanted to let you know that we LOVE Snickers! She is a permanent person in our home. She has become quite the hunter, though! The rules are, she sleeps inside at night....PERIOD. There have been a couple of times that I have gone out way after dark to find her, to bring her little butt inside, but now I have her number. I take a spoon and bang on a plate, and she knows that it is time to have her canned food, so she rips to the house, wherever she is...never fails. She is obsessed with the blue belly lizards, goes out and brings them home one at a time, is now eating them up, and then she throws them up. I cannot stop her from doing this. This week the hummingbirds came back, and sure enough, she got one this morning, like it was nothing to catch. She is fast as greased lightning. She also goes out with me to the barn/horses. Every time I go out, like she's my Border Collie. She will walk right under a horse in the hallway. Never had a cat do this. And talk....she talks constantly. I told you that I wanted one that would entertain me, well, I sure got that special one. Just wanted you to know. Thank you so much for this little thing! Don't worry, she is only out for probably 2 hours per day total. I watch her like a hawk, and she gets put inside when we leave.

Huge THANK you for letting us come to your Cat House on the Kings. I have posted 80 plus pics that I took on my facebook and am spreading the word. I intend to bring up a new group of cat lovers to see your place again hopefully soon. I will let you know at least a week ahead. We will be sure to bring supplies and or money to help out. I am only sorry that we were unable to take any kitties home...we really wanted to do that. My daughter, Anna, absolutely loves kitties. The two are mine Anna holding the black/white kitty and Daniel with the kitties on the steps. If we did not live so far away, we would be volunteering for you there...it would be a great opportunity for our family to get involved, but could we bring our doggie with us? Not sure where he would stay while we worked...just a thought. BTW, thank you for trying to help my mom out with her situation...it is a "always been this way" sorta thing and I don't really like it but I was glad she came with us to come visit, it was a good experience for her to see what you do and to give her ideas of how to manage what they have. I will try to encourage her to make different choices. Thank you for being patient. Okay, that's it for now. We had a great time and it was a joy to see the smiles on the kid's faces and also to just love on all the kitties and cats we could get our hands on. God Bless You hope to see you soon and may you be blessed with good health, you and your staff.

As promised, here is an update on the chi/pom we adopted from you back in May. We named him LeRoy and he is quite a character. He is soooooo sweet and loves to play with out kitties, Denzell and Ottis, and our other pup Koda. Here are a few pictures from when we first brought him home. Over the past few months he has gotten taller and has lost most of the puppy fluffy hair and has gained some weight to make him a bruising 7 lbs here are a couple more recent photos. Well hopefully all is well at The Cat House on the Kings and I thank you so much for all that you do! I will send more pictures as our family grows! Thanks.

My husband and I adopted Jemma this last Saturday at Petco. She's doing awesome, and is always purring. We do have 2 other cats (1.5 year old and a 7 year old). Our 7 year old took it very well, our 1.5 year old hissed a lot when they finally met each other but Jemma just kept purring. They are finally starting to play with each other and the hissing is down to a very minimal. She's a very sweet kitty and loves to play with just about any toy. Last night she realized there was a fish in the fish tank and chased him around until bedtime. I've attached a picture of Jemma with her newly found fishy friend. We are keeping her name, Jemma :) Thank you for all your time and all your hard work you put into saving animals!! We are so happy to have Jemma in our family. Thank You!

Here are pictures of the boys and our little girl...we have named them Kato, Kobi and Kiki. Kato was our first adoptee.. Kobi is the boy and Kiki is the little girl we adopted from you. We are so in love with all of them...my husband Doug can hardly wait each day to get home from work to see them and to play. They all get along very well with each other...they play together and sleep together...they seem to be on the same sleep schedule...which is so cute! Their personalities are different and very endearing each and every one. Kobi follows me around everywhere and will climb up on me and my husband, but doesn't like to be picked up and held. He seems to be the most inquisitive. I love the way he walks...like a panther. I tried to come with a name that would be panther-like, but haven't yet. Can you tell we love them already? We do!...thank you for doing what you do...we were quite impressed with the huge job you have and how well you do it!

We Love him!!! Moe has become our wonderful companion. He loves his cat friends, walks, watching the wildlife (saw his first bears), playing with all his toys, and most of all he adores Cathy. Likes to go with us on car trips and is always perfect. Has learned to let us know when he needs to go out. All in all we could not be happier and he seems to agree. Hope you and all the babies there are doing well.

A few weeks ago I backed out of the garage and drove out on the street. I passed one intersection which had 2 cars waiting there to enter after I would pass. I then looked in my rear view mirror and saw a horrible sight! My sweet cat was there on the trunk of the car with the wind blowing through his hair and he was huddled down like he was trying to keep his feet on the slick car! Those 2 cars had pulled right behind me, therefore I couldn't stop immediately. Finally I was able to pull off the road and stop. That cat made one great big leap and ran off into an orchard. It was a Pomegranate orchard and the trees are planted closely and there were weeds and the place had recently been plowed. I called "Kitty, Kitty" but he had disappeared and was not in any mood to try that ride again. I used my cell phone to call my daughter, Marj. I said "I can't find the cat!" Of course she thought I had lost my mind because she had just heard me leave in the car. After I calmed down and explained the situation properly, she got on the golf car that we have to work on the farm and scooted down the road to where I was. The farmer on whose orchard my cat was lost owns 4 big vicious dogs who run loose. Soon he drove up to where Marj and I were and he wanted to know what we were doing! I know he thought I was crazy for being on the verge of tears over a mere cat. But he finally said that when his dogs found the cat he would phone me. That sure didn't make me feel any better! Marj and I spent the rest of the day riding around that orchard calling "Kitty, Kitty". Just before dark we were going out to make a final trip, we went through our garage, and there was that dumb cat! He had made his way past 2 farms and dogs and got back where he belongs! I have heard that cats have a good sense of direction and can often find their way back home. So I don't call him "that dumb cat" any more. His life with us began about 7 years ago. My husband, Wes, and I had gone to The Cat House On The Kings, and had asked for 2 cats. We brought them home but we couldn't get to liking them. They didn't seem to be all that thrilled with us either. So we took them back to Lynea, and we resigned ourselves to wait a while for pets. Then soon we got a message from Lynea, "The Cat Lady". She said that she has a cat that is "the meanest cat that I have ever seen". She said that he had "beat up" on every one of her other cats. She wondered if we would take him, and if we could not stand him either, we could bring him back to her. We brought him home and my husband, Wes, fell in love with him. Wes knew how it is to have to fight to exist as when he was growing up. His name was "El Diablo" (Spanish for Satan). It didn't take long for El Diablo to respond to the love Wes gave him and that cat decided he would like to have a home here. We renamed him "El Gato" (Spanish for The Cat). After Wes died, El Gato went all over the house looking for his friend. El Gato has become a very sweet cat. Now he has the freedom to come in the house or go outside if he wishes. Since almost getting lost, El Gato sticks close to home, and I always check the car before I take off so I don't give him another ride on the trunk.
